The Manhattan

exclusively for us in North Carolina by one of America’s oldest
custom billiard table companies. One of the most recognizable
features of this quality billiard table is the post style legs which
extend from floor to slate. When combined with double interlocking
hardwood beams it provides a structure big and strong enough to
support the generations of players who will put their full trust and
weight upon it. The other recognizable feature of the
Manhattan
is the top rails which absorb most of the wear and tear through the
years as hands and cues constantly rub across them. They are made
from American Black Walnut and carefully hand sanded, dyed to
compliment the cabinet (in this case the rails are left natural to
contrast with the cabinet and legs) and then hand waxed, hand buffed and hand
finished to produce a durable surface that is less likely to be
damaged by the tribulations of play.

Thick, heavy lumber and plenty of it! To insure the Manhattan
looks as good as it plays each part is painstakingly hand sanded.
Special dyes that penetrate the wood and enhance the natural beauty
create rich colors and numerous coats of the clearest high quality
sealers and lacquers provide both beauty and protection. With
exceptional skill the finishing artisans enhance the lines and
contours with crystal clear highlights.

Manhattan is cut from the finest real American hardwoods. Each
piece of wood is carefully selected for its strength and appearance.
Then each is scrupulously carved and crafted, hand fit, hand sanded
